July 9, 2020 – Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Travel Leaders / Destinations Unlimited today announced the acquisition of Meacham Travel Service, located in Iowa City. The transaction is scheduled to close in late July. Elaine Shalla, owner of Meacham Travel for the past 33 years plans to retire on July 31st. “I am excited for my staff and clients to join the team at Destinations Unlimited, an outstanding agency with offices in Coralville and Cedar Rapids,” Elaine stated.
The Meacham offices and staff are currently located at 229 E. Washington Street in Iowa City and will move to the Travel Leaders / Destinations Unlimited office located at 708 5th Street in Coralville in August.
Duane Jasper, owner and CEO of Destinations Unlimited added, “the Meacham brand has long been associated with good people and services and we are pleased to be able to expand our presence and reach in the area and look forward to collaborating with the new staff and clientele.
Both companies serve the University of Iowa and vacation travelers in the Iowa City-Coralville market.
