Walking with Wildlife in Africa

After an incredible safari experience in 2023, I’m thrilled to be hosting another small group trip in Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Land safaris, water safaris, ancient cultures and scenic wonders of the world, it doesn’t get any better than this.

This will be a 5 star safari adventure unlike anything you’ve experienced before. It’s affordable luxury in the wild heart of planet Earth. Everyone needs to visit Africa at least once in their lifetime, and it is a true honor for me to take you there.

Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to be part of one those National Geographic safari expeditions that you see on TV? Well, you're about to find out firsthand. This is a wild, eye opening adventure, and one that you'll never forget. Our guides will interpret the local watch guards (giraffes) as they look out for danger and keep a watchful eye on the area's predators: cheetah, lion, wild dog, leopard and hyena. We'll return to the lodge for lunch and a leisure afternoon. You may want to partake in a Guided Bicycle Tour or Village Walk, led by lodge staff. These are not at any specific time nor for any particular duration. They are outings offered to guests as part of Chobe Bakwena's Social Responsibility Programme. It is very important to staff that guests who choose to stay at Chobe Bakwena Lodge have the opportunity to learn about and experience the local customs and culture of the Kazangula community. We'll cruise the Chobe waters again this evening for a serene outing in nature before returning to the lodge for an enchanting lantern lit dinner.

Today we'll meet for coffee and tea before watching the glorious sunrise from the water, as we take our last boat ride on the Chobe. This will be a great time for bird watching. We'll also witness the largest congregation of elephants in Africa, as nearly 200,000 elephants live here. We'll enjoy a late breakfast at the lodge then guests will have free time. Be sure to allow time for a village visit or a soak in the pool before a late afternoon lunch. We'll venture back to the Chobe National Park for an afternoon/evening game drive this time; however we'll follow strict government orders to be out of the park by sundown. Our jeeps will take us into the bush in search of wildlife. Tonight at the lodge we're in for a real treat, as we gather by the fire for a traditional Boma dinner.
