July 7, 2017 – Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Travel Leaders / Destinations Unlimited, a Cedar Rapids-based travel management company, today announced a plan to expand vacation planning and booking services into the Des Moines area. The announcement was made by President Anne Jasper.
“We are thrilled to be expanding to the Des Moines area where Romance and Vacation Travel Specialist Casey Powers will relocate from the company’s headquarters to lead this initiative,” Jasper stated. “The initial focus of this initiative will be planning family vacations but we expect to add more staff and services in the Des Moines area over time. Casey has been a great asset to our company, particularly selling Disney and family vacations, making her a natural fit for this expansion.”
Powers joined Travel Leaders / Destinations Unlimited in the late spring of 2016 as a travel specialist. Prior to this position, Powers worked in merchandise in Disney Springs where she learned to create magical experiences by going above and beyond for her clients – something she carries into her travel specialist role. The Des Moines native received a degree in Leisure Youth and Human Services with an emphasis in Tourism from the University of Northern Iowa.
Travel Leaders / Destinations Unlimited has been located in Cedar Rapids since opening in 1984 and will continue operations there with the addition of a Des Moines expansion.
